Barramundi love the warmer weather. For the keen angler, the time after ‘the Wet’ is a good time to visit – late March to early June. The weather in June, July and August is great for camping and very pleasant on the river. Ultimate Adventures will fish through this time resulting in some great catches. Then in the hotter weather, late August through to end October, the barra stir up, producing some exhilarating fishing!

Ultimate Adventures’ safaris are fully guided in small boats suitable for the shallow rockbars and rapids of the Lower Ord River system. All fishing gear is supplied, however, keen anglers may bring their own preferred kit. All fishing and safaris are conducted from the boats only. Fly fishermen need to pay for single charter or fish with a trusted fellow fly fisher person. The best time to fly fish is when the waters are clear, late August to October. On all trips, lunch, snacks, fruit and cool drink is supplied and courtesy pick up from Kununurra is included.
